Snow World is an amusement park in Hyderabad, India, spanning 2 acres.
It's located near Indira Park and Hussain Sagar lake, opening on January 28, 2004.
Ocean Park Multitech Ltd. leased the land from the Andhra Pradesh government for 33 years at an initial rate of ₹3.6 million per year.
The park cost ₹20 million to construct and was designed by Nitish Roy, an Indian art director and architect.
It's India's first and the world's largest snow park, only preceded by similar parks in Malaysia and Singapore.
The facility was inaugurated by Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
On the opening day, visitors experienced side effects like dizziness and swelling due to excess nitrogen used for snow production.
